January 2009 - My twelfth month

Happy 1st Birthday - January 29, 2009!

Well what else is there to talk about in January besides my 1st Birthday!  My mom thought a monkey theme would be fun so having as much fun as a barrel of monkeys here we go...!  I got a great surprise when both of my Grandmother's came to visit me for my birthday party weekend.

Diving in to my cake in front of 20 strangers who are all taking photos of me has me a little concerned...

After a little while once I learned that sugar filled cake is good I started enjoying it more

On my actual birthday, January 29th, my parents decided to do a test run cake eating so I would be ready for the big party on Saturday...what is with this hat??

Do I look amused??

On my birthday I received some wonderful gifts from Mrs. Bea and Ms. Annette at daddy's office.  Thank you.

Here a basketball for you.  I am very good at offering things I am holding to people, and right now I will let you take them.  Let's see how that goes in about twelve months...

Here is my birthday party with friends.  We put out this great bright blanket for all the kids to play on and we had tons of fun with all my toys!  Does anybody look at the camera except me??  Zane what are you doing to my football?

Looking a little concerned that the train is tipped over and this nice girl has taken my orange ball. Or maybe I was going to hold her hand and you busted me with the camera...

Opening presents with the help of my mommy...while chewing an alligator toy of course...

Swamped in a sea of color and gifts...while playing with just one new noise maker

You know what the best thing about new drumsticks is?  They also make great chew toys...

Like I said, 'Try it, you'll like it'

Rocking my new drums with Grandmoms

Grandmoms had to leave on Monday and I was not happy about it!  I sure did show my six teeth good that day though

Playing around with Grandmoms during the Superbowl on Sunday night

Letting GG have a good time feeding me dinner...if she only knew what it was like feeding me three times a day when I am finicky like I am now...

Matthew's first haircut - February 2, 2008 - 1 year and 4 days old

I think my mommy is having more fun than me right now...of course she knows what is coming up

Do I really need a haircut??  It's like they say, I'm charming but very alarming!

Having fun pointing at my grandmothers while I wait for my turn in the barber chair

Off we go.  I was very good until the end when I was a little tired of it all.  They used both scissors and clippers on my hair.

What a good looking cut, now I look like a little boy again :)
