August 2008 - My seventh month
Two Guys and a '55
These are photos from John & Ian's
trip across Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and into
Washington with their 1955 Ford F-250 that was resting in Omaha. It is
safely in WA and runs better than the day it drove off the lot fifty three
years ago!
We purchased this truck in
1991 for $450 to work on as a father-son project.
Here is it on the day we bought it
in Omaha.
A few years later most of the body
had been stripped off and restored piece by piece.
Eventually we had it down to the
frame.
Even the engine was completely
rebuilt by Ian - in High School!!
Big Blue today! After years
of work by John she is basically a beautiful show truck.
There are a few minor items left to
complete but basically it will work well to drive around Washington in the
summertime
and be great to go for Sunday
drives to get a cup of coffee in.

Dad T (Pa Pa) shows off
driving his truck in
Townsend, Montana. |

Ian says thumbs up to
Townsend |

The men
stop so Ian can see Mount Rushmore for the first time |

Nice! |
|

Once the truck was in
Washington the grandson decided to take it for a spin |

I think I am going to have to
get some sunglasses
|

OK daddy here we go, is your
seatbelt on? |

Little dude, Big truck! |
