April 2008 - My third month

April opened with my daddy's birthday, he's 33 years old! I got to sit in his lap while he tried to blow out all those candles.  Mommy, Daddy and me then flew to Texas again to see my Grandmother Maloney (aka GG) and attend April's wedding, she's a friend of my mom.

Almost immediately after our return home to Tennessee the house was filled with visitors.  Pa Pa and Nana Flo visited just to see me.  I did a lot of smiling and was called a "mellow dude" by Pa Pa, I guess that is good when you are a baby - my parents think so anyway...  Then Grandmoms T came to visit and we spent time walking in the Dunbar Cave State Park, just like you would expect from Granmoms, getting me out in to nature! We had lots of fun the whole time she was here.

I also got to meet my second cousins Christina and Lauren when they ran 13.1 miles at the Nashville Country Music Marathon/Half marathon.  Finally I completed the month by attending my first Texas Aggie event - the important tradition of Aggie Muster where the rule states anytime you are within 100 miles of another Aggie on April 21st, you must meet with those Aggies, share some Good Bull stories, tell of your experiences at Texas A&M (mine will start in 2025, since I am class of 2029 - whoop!) and then remember those Aggies that have left us and gone to Heaven since the last year's Muster.  My first Muster was held at Mickey Roos' Texas barbeque restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee.

Daddy and me on a hot evening in Texas before going out to a nice wedding.

Seersucker is my summertime material.

Do I look distinguished?

Pa Pa made faces at me during his visit so I made grumpy faces right back at him...

Pa Pa and Nana Flo get in a nice photo before they head back home.

Pa Pa introduced me to this weird drink called coffee.  I guess it is pretty popular where he lives in the pacific northwest but I seem to be a little shocked by the whole idea of it.  Does a kid really need a double espresso?  I think I will stick to milk for as long as I can.

Three generations of Townsend men.

Grandmoms came to visit and spent lots of time with me.  She spent this time reading me books.  Do you mind not taking photos right now, I'm trying to listen to this story!

OK the story is getting boring and I am getting squirmy but Grandmoms seems to have everything under control...maybe.

Enough of the story time I just wanted to laugh and play with Grandmoms!

With the Nashville skyline as a backdrop I get a quick photo with my mom's cousin Bill's family - L to R - Sharon, Lauren, Susan, Matthew, Bill, Christina and her boyfriend Chris.

My second cousin Christina dances with me and sings me a song while Bill watches.  Not bad after you have just run 13.1 miles at a 9 minute pace!!

Lauren works on getting me to smile by showing me her beautiful smile while Sharon is happy to meet me for the first time.

Lauren wore a shirt with her nickname of Mini Maloney, although Maloney isn't my actual last name I am kind of a Mini Maloney myself.

Cousin Bill shows off in a photo of the guys!

Since I was going to a Music Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee I thought it would only be appropriate if I wore my Elvis "King" outfit that mommy's friend Susanna sent to me.  Do you like the Elvis song I am singing?

Just looking cute in my Gold King shirt and old blue jeans.

"Since my baby left me, I've found a new place to dwell, down at the end of a lonely street called Heartbreak Hotel..."  How do you like my impersonation of fat old Elvis?

Cheering for girls that ran 13.1 miles makes me tired.  I think I will borrow my daddy this time.

Fightin' Texas Aggie Muster 2008 - Nashville, Tennessee.  Can you find the 3 month old baby giving a Gig 'em thumbs up?
