Family & Friends
United Kingdom
2005 - 2007
Susan spends some time having tea
with friends from the school where she taught. Then she invites them
over for a Tex-Mex night to show off to these Brits how fun it is to be from
Texas. Libby is very confused as to what is going on and why she is
dressed up in her cow dog bandana.
Susan and friends enjoy a day of
wearing hats in the garden...then taking them off!
In July 2007 some of Susan's best
friends from school gave her a going away party at a local pub (a
traditional place in the UK to farewell your friends). She received
some of the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen from her friend Jane
and some pieces of English pottery.

July 2007 - Rundle Cup Polo and
Wilton House Concert
We were replaced in the UK by our
wonderful friends Chad & Michelle. It just so happened that during the
handover we were all able to attend the annual Army vs Navy polo match - the
Rundle Cup. Probably the only polo match any of us has ever or will
ever attend.
With military moves comes leaving
behind good friends and that is just what happened when we had to leave
Lindee and Ben and their son Colton (who is looking very smart in that
sweater I might add).
Halfway thorough the polo match
everyone is invited to go out and 'stomp divits' to ensure the field is
ready for play again - even the dogs help out as you can see.
Susan, Michelle and Lindee ensure
that they have stomped their share as they walk around and enjoy Pimms and
Lemonade while wearing their hats in the English summer.
We finished that great day with
friends at the Wilton House concert and fireworks.
June 2007 - Visit by the PMG to the UK
We have the opportunity to spend
some time with Brigadier Findley, Provost Marshal for the British Army.
There are those Pimm's and Lemonade again - gotta love the Brits!
Ian has a discussion with the
Regimental Sergeant Major of the Military Police - RSM Evans while the US
PMGs aide looks on. On the right the Regimental Secretary, Lt Col
retired Baber shows off the new RMP museum to the PMG and his wife.
A great photo of the RMP leadership
and the US PMG.
We are near the center a little to
the left. Next to us on the right is Ian's Regimental Commander, Lt
Col Miller and his wife.
Finally on our way out the
door from England we were able to visit with great MP friends - Don &
Susanna with Ava and Chad & Michelle before we all attended the conference
in London. While they visited our house in Bulford we took them out to
eat at one of our local pubs - where else would we go? - Don was even
able to convince the barkeep to let him "pull a pint" for us.
