This is a photo of the troops in formation.  The first sergeant is out front near the company Guidon (flag) and the leaders are all wearing Stetsons (traditional in a cavalry unit, and as the only MP company in the only cavalry division the 545th is the only MP unit authorized to wear them). The sky is overcast.  It didn’t rain but was very windy and kind of cool for Texas, low 40s.  The wind made it a little difficult for those of us wearing Stetsons as we hoped they didn’t fly off.  There were 210 soldiers in the company on that day, the company is authorized 169.  I guess General Shinseki’s plan to fill the divisions up is working quite well.
