Redeployment

HHC, 89th MP Brigade

December 14, 2004

Welcome home poster that Susan and Libby made up for their returning Soldier
(note the blue paw print is what happens when you mix Susan, our dog, and blue watercolor paint:)

Three Army spouses -- Susan, Irma, and Leslie -- eagerly anticipating their three Army captains

The Brigade commander, COL David D. Phillips, in front of the formation.
The Unit entered the gym through a smoke machine like it was the Superbowl which made it difficult on the photographer!

Susan, her mom, and dad, three great Americans, anticipating the arrival of the troops

Finally. This is what re-deploying is all about!

Special note typed on December 14, 2004 from Captain Townsend:

"Please know that I am home safe now and happy that my tour in Iraq is complete
but my heart, thoughts, and prayers are still with the troopers from 1st Cav
and the other units that are serving in Iraq right now as the holidays approach
and the first elections take place there in January.

"Please keep these troopers in your hearts and lift them up in your prayers
until they all come home safely. My former company, the 545th,
should be home sometime in the spring - March or April.
I know that my First Sergeant and the new commander will bring them home with honor."
