Imperial War Air Museum at Duxford
At the town of Duxford, which is on our drive towards RAF Lakenheath is one of the best aviation museums in England. We took a few hours to view it during our last trip towards Cambridgeshire. You can see more on the web at the Duxford site.

Of course you must begin by going through the Concorde. |
Lots of tailfins here to show you that the museum is both outdoors and indoors. The real draw are the weekends in the summer when there are airshows with lots of historic airplanes. |

Ian stands with a British Spitfire. The champion of the Battle of Britian. |
Susan stands with an American trainer airplane named what else...the TEXAN! |
|
We found that although there are hundreds of British airplanes there the American airplane portion of the museum is pretty darn neat. |
