Winchester
Once the capital of England, before London was decided on, Winchester has lots of history to it. It is the opposite direction from the way to Cheddar from our home in Wiltshire and is the center of the county of Hampshire. The cathedral is quite famous and beautiful as you can see, there are at least five military museums in Winchester, including one for the 95th Rifles, Royal Green Jackets(see the English History page) and this is also where you will find some good English history lore like...Richard and the Knights of the Round Table.
