Mont Saint Michel, France
Before returning from Germany we took
a couple of days for Susan to see the Normandy beaches and northern coast of
France before returning to the UK.
Upon entry onto the island of Mont
Saint Michel it becomes a mob scene to move to the the top through the small
roads with lots of visitors
Looking down from the top you can
see that when the tide is out you can drive cars on the causeway

Caen, France
Here is the church in Caen, a city
where Ian studied French for a few weeks in 1997.
Caen France was the main objective
of the 3rd United Kingdom Division on D-Day. It took them almost a
month to liberate it. Ian now serves in this division in the British
Army.
