Liberty Belle
Boleslawiec, Poland

For a very, very quick
weekend in February Susan went to Boleslawiec, Poland to shop for pottery.
It is an unwritten rule of military spouses that live in Europe that they
must buy some of this pottery during their time living in Europe. So
with some friends off she went...
The entry way to Boleslawiec on a
snowy day, even the sign welcoming you shows off their pottery!
A beautiful old polish town painted
in pastel colors.
Polish farmers created these
traditional designs with inspiration from the proud peacock. The brilliant
colors added beauty and color to an otherwise plain and simple lifestyle.
Over the years the technique of using handmade stencils to create the
designs has become a form of art passed on to new generations. Antique
pieces can be viewed at museums in Poland. The people of Boleslawiec are
proud to share their art with the world.

Susan and her good friend Lindee
share a second in the snow. And then it is all smiles as they return
home loaded up with beautiful pottery.
A visit by the Duchess of
Cornwall to Bulford Camp
Susan finds a second with the
kids as they line up with the soldiers for the arrival of Camilla.

Camilla arrives and
is greeted by the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Royal Green Jackets.

flowers from one of the students of Kiwi School.

Can you find Susan watching her
students say hello to Camilla?
