Paris, Dijon and the Burgundy wine region
Our first trip to "the Continent" of Europe was
our autumn trip to visit France and Spain. We used the Eurostar high
speed train to get to Paris then we also used the trains to get to and from
Spain. We visited Paris both at the beginning and the end of the trip.
During our first three days there we were lucky enough to be able to meet
with some friends from Texas, Irma and Andy, who were on a layover as they
traveled back to America. After Paris and then our days in Spain we
returned and took a rental car to the Burgundy region. The primary
reason was so Susan could visit a crystal glass factory in La Rochere to buy
some crystal glasses, which is a great story we will have to tell you
sometime. Here are the best photos of the amazing stuff
we saw with our best attempt at narration.
Paris....the city of Love

We begin with what else?...The Eiffel
Tower. It was of course the first thing we went to see on our first
night in Paris after having dinner with our friends Irma and Andy. You
can see Susan and her good friend Irma here enjoying the tower that evening.
